Crazy, lazy days of summer
I wake to cloudy skies and a forecast that will probably keep us off the lake today and it makes me sad...but, as I reflect on our season so far, I can't help but smile! We have had so many wonderful people out with us! Each and every cruise has been special.
Our region has very quickly transformed into a tourist hotspot. Only a few years ago, Ithaca would suddenly become very quiet as soon as Cornell University held it's Commencement Exercises. Depending on your point of view, our little town either became tranquil or desolate. Well, no longer is this the case. Thanks to the incredible natural beauty of Ithaca and the surrounding areas as well as our burgeoning wine trail, tourists have become aware of Cayuga Lake at an incredible pace!
School's Out Charters has benefited from this growth and we thank our customers for that! We have had some trials and tribulations getting our new boat certified for Cayuga Lake (Why does bureaucracy move so slow???). She is a great, stable boat and we have big things planned!
